Hello SuperCoaches!

There is a great variety of VC and C options this week, with no clear standout options on the Friday night and some safe options on Saturday.

Let’s take a look at the pick of the bunch for this week.

Vice-Captains

Dustin Martin
Dusty as back to top form against GWS, dragging his side over the line with 28 touches and 4 crucial goals. His record against Brisbane is pretty solid and he clearly has no issues playing at the Gabba after winning last year’s Norm Smith Medal.
Last 3 vs BRIS: 111, 108, 141

Tom Mitchell
His recent record against the Blues is crazy good, not dropping below 161 in his last three outings against them. Can he turn in another blinder? Ed Curnow looms as a likely tag.
Last 3 vs CARL: 164, 192, 161

Cam Guthrie
Put in a terrific performance against the Saints last start and now faces a Gold Coast side ripe for the picking. Hard to not see him scoring well at GMHBA against not much opposition.
Last 3 vs GCS: 73, 94, 81

Clayton Oliver
Simply must be considered this week after putting up a double ton against the Crows in this game last year! Looks a safe play as VC this week.
Last 3 vs ADEL: 205, 122, 98

Max Gawn
It can’t be captain’s corner without having big Max in here. Although he hasn’t put up a huge score in a couple of weeks now, hopefully he can rectify that on Saturday.
Last 3 vs ADEL: 107, 158, 114

Captains

Jack Macrae
Has a solid enough record against the Saints in recent times and you’d be a brave man to bet against him scoring well at Marvel. If the Dogs are fair dinkum they should be winning this game pretty comfortably, which hopefully means lots of points for Dogs midfielders.
Last 3 vs STK: 93, 120, 121

Marcus Bontempelli
One of the most in-form players in the comp right now and certainly one that SuperCoaches would love to have in their teams. His recent outings against the Saints don’t inspire a whole lot of confidence this week, but he could be the POD captaincy play.
Last 3 vs STK: 94, 70, 100

Nat Fyfe
Fremantle return to their home patch this week and this is really a game that they should be winning. Expecting a big game from Fyfe to get them over the line, especially with Brayshaw out.
Last 3 vs SYD: 86, 101, 115

Brodie Grundy
Grundy’s record against the Power is pretty solid and with no Scott Lycett in the team he could have a great individual game. The return of Taylor Adams also gives the Pies’ midfield a bit of a boost.
Last 3 vs PORT: 122, 108, 162

Zach Merrett
Was heavily tagged last week and his score suffered as a result. Do North try and do something similar? I suspect they might try but surely he’s too good to be held down twice in a row.
Last 3 vs NORTH: 68, 137, 109
